Ayelu Toli a 40-year-old woman, is the mother of five children, three of them are female. She is an active participant and leader of the Hawi Gudina VSLA group. With their collective savings of 43820 ETB, the group members have decided to lend her 2000. During local market days, she engaged in small-scale trade of various items like sugar, coffee, and biscuits. Her first loan was repaid, and she was given a second round of 2000 ETB to extend her business and travel to other local marketplaces to trade the same items. She made 10,000 ETB as a net profit from the business she engaged in.
