SOS Sahel Ethiopia has a zero tolerance approach to abuse, exploitation, human trafficking and harassment and discrimination against program participant and community members by any of our representatives and partner. All reported safeguarding concerns will be thoroughly examined and where needed, investigated by trained investigator

SOS Sahel Ethiopia is committed to responding to all safeguarding concerns in a survivor centered way this means that the safety, dignity and well-being of the survivor are the primary consideration in all steps we take after a safeguarding concern is reported. Reported concerns will kept confidential. We will work to make sure that you will not face negative consequences for reporting.

  • SOS Sahel Ethiopia staff and partners are committed to following the standards of behavior outlined in SOS Sahel Ethiopia Safeguarding Policy and guidelines
  • SOS Sahel Ethiopia will not tolerate Sexual exploitation & sexual abuse of program participants and vulnerable populations by staff and associates
  • Exchange of money, employment, goods, services, or anything of value for a sex act is prohibited, including sexual favors or other forms of humiliating, degrading or exploitative behavior
  • SOS Sahel Ethiopia staff MUST protect vulnerable adults and children, who need care and support
  • Abuse of children and vulnerable adults could include physical abuse, sexual abuse, psychological abuse, financial/material abuse, discrimination, or neglect.
